About the Role: 

On behalf of our client, ALL Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are recruiting for an experienced WHS Coordinator to provide best practice advice, overarching support, develop policies/procedures and manage our client's WHS suite to deliver compliance with current legislation, regulations, codes of practice and all appropriate Australian Standards. 

The WHS Coordinator will work under the direction of the HR/IR Manager to drive a positive culture of safety, ensure a systematic approach to safety management, resolve WHS issues and support the continuous improvement of the client organisation's safety in the workplace. 

Primary duties of this role will include: 

  • Provide proactive and professional WHS advice, partnership and support to all client's staff, including the Executive Leadership Team and General Managers
  • Lead, develop, support and strengthen a 'Safety First' culture, including oversight and improvements to the clients WHS Management System.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate safety risks across the client's operations, developing safety management plans and strategies inlcuding Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Assist with coordination of Worker's Compensation and lead Council's Return to Work Program
  • Deliver WHS monthly, quarterly and annual reports on time and as requested inlucding timely updates to the Executive Team
  • Updating safe operating procedures, policies and other relevant safety documents

Selection Criteria 

  • Tertiary Qualification in Work, Health & Safety with considerable demonstrated WHS experience within a complex organisaiton with High Risk Areas
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment 
  • Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills with an ability to meet deadlines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of incident investigation techniques, including analysis and evaluation 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new softwars
  • Must hold a current/valid NT Driver's License
