ALL Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are seeking a highly organised and motivated Council Liasion Officer to provide essential administrative support to the Services Supervisor.
This Aboriginal Identified position will enable the effective and professional liaison with stakeholders, ensuring the smooth delivery of services, support for the organisation's meetings, and overall improvement of administrative processes.
In this role, you will contribute to maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, good governance, and integrity.
You will work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment to support the delivery of services, events, and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, responsive, accurate, and consistent information, advice, and service to stakeholders.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for meetings, conferences, and events, including travel allowance forms, sitting fees, and meeting papers.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including travel arrangements and accommodation.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate contact information for stakeholders.
- Assist with recordkeeping and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support the nomination and election processes for stakeholders, including communication with members and constituents.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of administrative tasks while adhering to established service standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and meet both statutory and organisational requirements.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as directed within the scope of your position classification.
Key Selection Criteria
- Aboriginal Identified Position: This position is only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
- Certificate IV in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related qualification, or equivalent experience in a similar administrative role.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in business administration and customer service, ideally within a government or community organisation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Office 365, including Word and Outlook, and the ability to quickly adapt to new software systems.
- High-level communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse community.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and working within set budgets.
- Strong cross-cultural awareness and the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence and the ability to travel to remote areas using manual 4WD vehicles or light aircraft.
